Manor Planner
Plan your settlement before the first timber is felled.
A free, no-signup city planner for Manor Lords. Drag a building's footprint onto the grid, check the walking-distance heatmap to keep worker travel tight, and save your layout to the URL — share it with one link, redesign it before the next siege.
How to use the planner
- Pick a building type from the palette on the left.
- Click and drag on the grid to draw the footprint. The size shown as you drag matches the rectangle you'll place. Release to commit. A single click without dragging places a 1×1 marker.
- Click a placed building to see its info (name, production chain). Hit Delete or the panel button to remove it. Press Esc to deselect.
- Misclick? Cmd/Ctrl+Z undoes; Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes.
- Toggle Walking distance to color-grade tiles by how far workers travel from your marketplaces — green is close, red is far.
- Use Ctrl/Cmd + scroll on the grid, or the +/− zoom buttons in the toolbar, to adjust tile size.
- Hit Share to copy a permanent URL of your layout, or Export PNG for a screenshot.
Why drag-to-size? Manor Lordsburgage plots are sized by the player, and other building footprints can shift between patches. Rather than bake in numbers we'd have to guess, the planner lets you draw what you actually see in your game.

- Best burgage plot layout →
Plot dimensions that balance backyard space, road access, and citizen growth without wasting tiles.
- Early-game settlement layout →
What to place in months 1–3: granary, hitching post, two burgage rows. Cheap mistakes that compound by year 2.
- Market placement principles →
Marketplaces serve a fixed walking radius. Pick the wrong spot and half your town starves in winter.

What does this planner actually do?+
Sketch a Manor Lords settlement on a grid before you commit it in-game. Drag building footprints (burgage plots, marketplaces, granaries, workshops, etc.), toggle the walking-distance heatmap to see if worker travel is too long, and share the layout as a URL or PNG so you can iterate with friends or before your next siege.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?+
Yes free, no signup. The planner runs entirely in your browser — no account, no install. Your layout is encoded into the URL hash, so bookmarking the page (or sending the link) saves it permanently.
Why are burgage plots drag-to-size instead of fixed?+
Manor Lords' burgage plots are sized by the player at placement — they're not a fixed footprint like other buildings. Rather than baking in a guess, the planner lets you drag the exact rectangle you'll place in-game. The footprint you sketch matches what you'll actually build.
What does the walking-distance heatmap do?+
Toggle it to color-grade each tile by how far workers travel from your marketplaces. Green tiles are inside the marketplace radius; red tiles are too far out. The visualization makes it obvious when you've overextended — workers in red zones lose half a day to travel.
Can I share my layout with a friend?+
Yes. Click Share to copy a permanent URL of your current layout; they open the link and see the exact same blueprint. Or use Export PNG to drop a screenshot into Discord.
Does it cover the Restoration / Conquest update?+
The planner tracks vanilla building types that have shipped in stable Manor Lords builds. New buildings added in upcoming updates get added here once they're confirmed in the patch notes.
Does it work on mobile?+
Yes — drag works on touch, and the building palette folds to a horizontal scroll on small screens. You can plan a settlement on your phone while waiting in line for coffee.
